I don't know what happened with the last post but it didn't go through as expected.

I have an empty PC case (Chieftec Dragon Series: DA-01WD, although I'm not sure if it's actually the dragon series):

My goal is to build a PC I can use for novice/intermediate video editing.

The question is, should I use the existing case (am I restricted in some way because the components need to have certain measurements) or would it make more sense to get a system with a new PC case that can fit better components for the same price?

Solution
Your case is a slimmer one as i can see from the link, with new components i advise getting a mid tower case too,as PSU will be easier to fit.

Damn. There seem to be a ton of resolved answers for this kind of topic. I'm reading through them now. My bad, though feel free to still answer as you can be in the spotlight.
