So I decided to get an SSD before switching to Win 10 and installed win 10 on my old hard drive then clean installed to my new SSD from a USB drive.

Everything was going fine until I found out my Samsung magician had an update that wasn't being registered on the program. It was telling me 4.5 was up to date when 4.9 I think was the latest. So I manually updated it and it said I needed a firmware update so I did that.

Now every time I boot the computer, it starts and loads into windows and loads a couple programs then hard freezes after ~15 seconds. Only way to get out is the power button on the PC tower. The only thing that was changed between it working fine and the freezes was the firmware.

Anybody have any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Edit: Thought I should mention that by hard freeze, I mean everything including the mouse and keyboard aren't functioning. Its completely stopped. I've seen other people with ssd freezing problems that can still move their mouse so I figured I'd clarify.

Well I guess I was over thinking things since it was 4:00 AM and I was trying to get things fixed before going to sleep. Reinstalled the windows 10 update on the SSD today and it seems to be ok now.
