System information:
CPU: Intel Core i7 4700MQ
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M
Just tell me if any more info will be needed.

As some of you may already know, I'm using a gaming laptop. I play games on it daily with no problems, what I don't understand is that when my laptop has been idle for ~8 hours my CPU is at 63-68C and my GPU at a more stable 62-64C. I have no programs running, yet it's still this hot, can someone help me why? I'm not safe taking apart my laptop to see if something's wrong, since I wouldn't be sure what I'd be doing. Thanks in advance

Sounds like your laptop's intake/exhaust has been clogged with a lot of dust, what's the last time you cleaned it?

YES, listen to Roti-Kebab, it sounds like you need to clean intake/exhaust. My Alienware M17xR3 was doing the same so I took it apart and holly crap! both exhaust were completely clogged. I took the fins off, cleaned it and bang, super quiet now.

I then went back and re-applied thermal paste as well since it had been like 3 years since I got it.
