Hi, I purchased an Asus M5A97 Plus Mothboard and a AMD Phenom ii x 4 940 CPU, as well as a new video card and new memory sticks. Some where one of the pins on the CPU got bent. After installing all my components, I started the computer and it would not post to the bios. After repeated checking if everything was installed correctly installed I found out with the aid of a magnifying glass I had a bent pin on the CPU and a scorch mark on my motherboard where the bent pin goes in. It must of caused a short, My question is are all my components damaged? Or is the damage only in the motherboard and CPU?

Solution
Probably, but you can check your PSU voltage output using a volt meter, after you replace your mobo and processor, test one by one the vga card, ram and hdd. But check with any burn parts especially the RAM.
