Why can't I run dying light on max settings?

I recently bought a zotac gtx 970 hoping to be able to run most games on max or high settings, I first downloaded fallout 4, which it ran in ultra, no problem, then I got assassin's creed syndicate which it runs at high with a little bit of stutters, but when I got dying light, and started playing the game at max settings, I could barely play the game. My system specs are as follows: GPU: Zotac gtx 970 CPU: AMD a8 6600k RAM: 4gb (I also only run games at 720p because my monitor isnt 1080p ready. Any help or answers would be much appreciated :)

Dying Light is pretty graphically intense, but at 720p you should be ok. The recommended requirements are a GTX 780, and 8 gb of ram though. Also for amd CPU's it calls for an FX8350, I'm not an amd guy so I don't know how that compares to your cpu.

Do you have nVidia Geforce Experience installed? It will recognize the dying light install and can auto set the settings based on your hardware.
I have found that it usually works quite well and is right on.

Another 4gb of ram would be an easy upgrade. 2x8gb DDR3 sets are cheap right now, 16gbs is more than plenty for most users.

Start with the geforce experience, let it make the game settings, then try upgrading your ram.
