Windows 7 & later are not supported for the Umax 5600 as that model is too old & support has ended.

You can either buy a new scanner or try VueScan software which costs $39.95 for the Standard Edition.
Download & install the trial version first to make sure it works with your Umax scanner, if it does, buy a serial number:
