Hey everyone.

So my friend is having some trouble with his Dell XPS 420. He turned it on and all of his audio drivers were missing. When he sent me his dxdiag, there was nothing under sound devices at all. "Sound Tab 1: No sound card was found. If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer." When I researched the drivers for the system, I discovered that there was no Windows 7 (32-bit) driver for a card, only Vista. The drivers say that he needs at least Windows XP to upgrade the drivers, which doesn't make sense because he has 7. To make matters worse, there are three different drivers to choose from and there is no way of knowing which sound card he has to begin with. He also says that he can't change the volume of anything, because the computer will not output any audio. How do I fix his problem?
