Hi - I don't know super much about computers. I noticed my pc has been acting a bit strange lately.

My bf told me to download "open hardware monitor"

I tried playing around with the fan-speeds a bit. All CPU cores behave under 30c - which to me sounds like its fine.
But GPU Core Temperature #4 bounces between 20 to 110 like every other seconds. Looks completely random and it dosnt react to increased fan speeds.

What do i do?

Also is having high fan speed dangerous?

And if possible try to explain it as easy as possible - I just bought a finished set for gaming.

Thank you <3 <3 <3

You may need to define what you mean by your PC "has been acting strange"

As for the picture you posted, here's what I can give you some insight on:

In the picture you posted, I only see one temperature sensor listed under the GPU section (the one that reads 28 degrees with a 50 degree max)
Temperatures like this are perfectly safe.

As to the fourth and sixth sensors reading maxes of 118 and 119 degrees, I'm inclined to believe they are giving faulty readings. (Notice how the current value on the sixth sensor reads a negative value, plus 119 degrees Celsius would likely fry your electronics and cause your PC not to stop working entirely)

Also, these sensors appear to be listed under the motherboard section, not the GPU, so changing...

In my experience, I don't really trust temperature readings taken on the motherboard itself, and they aren't even particularly useful in my opinion. Your temp readings taken directly from the CPU and GPU look healthy, so I see no cause for concern.

Also, having a high fan speed isn't necessarily dangerous. It usually isn't preferable due to increased noise, and long-term use at consistently high speeds does cause them to wear out faster. However, PCs do need cooling, and fans are cheap to replace, so what speed you run them at is really up to you as long as your parts are staying at healthy temps.

To summarize, if your PC seems to be running ok as it is, these readings should be of no concern. However, you stated it's been acting strange. If so, you'll probably need to give some info on the other symptoms you've been having.

Hope this helps clear some things up!
