Need router for many devices

I need a good router.
My budget is about 150 canadian
At any given time at least 8 devices are running on wifi with at least 2 of them gaming
I need suggestions and reasons why those suggestions are good.

A dual band router is something you want to look at. A quick search brings this up.

I prefer routers that are compatible with open source software (DDWRT or Tomato). If you do not care, your options are many. I use an N16 + Tomato but the wireless is not dual band. It works well but I am not sure I would want to connect 8 devices and expect everything to be flawless all the time.
