Built PC but nothing shows up on screen

I just built my first pc and I don't know why nothing is showing up on my screen. I think that the graphics card is working because the fans are moving. My manual says that my computer will start a Power On Self Test but I don't see anything on my screen. Any ideas what is going on?

Please list your system specifications. Also, if you have a discrete graphics card, make sure your display is connected to one of it's outputs and not a motherboard output.
