I own a r9 290x Asus directcu ii gpu. This problem only appears on Counter Strike games were right at the end of loading into a game it freezes when i set my msaa above 4x (tested on counter strike source and counter strike global offensive) I have tested all other graphics settings and my game only freezes when i set msaa above 4x. I should also note that the AMD Crimson edition driver "crashes" when ever the game freezes.
I had this problem on windows 8.1 with AMD Crimson Edition 15.12 Drivers and just today did a fresh install of windows 10 with the Crimson Edition 16.1 Hotfix Drivers and the problem persists. I am using a 1366x768 tv as my main and only display if that mean anything.
