How to change video settings in game to get more FPS??

Hi.

I have just got built my first PC and the first game i have downloaded is Arma 3. I am running a MSI R9 380 GPU 4gb and the AMD program sets everything to ultra settings but this means I am getting around 30FPS.

I am new with PC gaming so wanted to know a few things - do i need a better FPS, how do i acheive this and also do i need to have the different AA and PP settings as I read these can negatively affect FPS?

anything above 30fps is a preference. If you want more fps lower your settings and see if you like it. I myself prefer graphics above fps, but in Shooters you do need 60fps. So my best advice to you is experiment with different settings to see what you like.
