Msi gtx 980ti crashing blue screen

Hi my pc is crashing after i've installed the gtx 980ti. Is it maybe because of it's msi gtx 980ti 6gb and i have 4gb ddr3 ram my. Other ram slot is broken after putting a 8gb my motherboard couldnt take it in. I have a new motherboard but ill assembly it later does anyone know a temporary fix for this?

Could be that the card is bad. To tell for sure you should replace board.

The card is legit from amazon my motherboard is terrible ms 7728 or somethinh i got a asus h97 pro gamer but its hard to assembly myself ill get someoene else later but i wanna fix this temporary

Does not matter where the card came from, happens all the time somebody gets a faulty card. In any case what did you have before? Did you properly remove drivers before installing the 980Ti?
Use this http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html then install the newest drivers from nvidia.
