2400 mhz ram run on 1600

Hi , i just bought Intel 4790K and MB- ASUS B-85 PRO GAMER and VENGANCE 2400 MHZ, on the XMP profile i can set the ram only on 1600mhz how can i use it proper on 2400 ?

That board wont run anything higher than 1600

Due to Intel® chipset limitation, DDR3 1600 MHz and higher memory modules on XMP mode will run at the maximum transfer rate of DDR3 1600 Mhz.

No drama though, you wouldn't have noticed any difference compared to 1600 :) If you were using integrated graphics maybe then.

4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 1600/1333/1066 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory --- > your MOBO. I think you can't get on it 2400.




Well he would get maybe like 1 - 5 fps increase. But as well it depends what game.
