Graphics card simple question

In my first new build pc i am using a r9 380 2gb gpu which requires 2 6pin connectors to be connected, i have connected the first 6pin to the psu with a fitting 6-8pin connector, but i am missing the second cable and i dont know what cable to order. I am using an MSI B85-G43 motherboard also. The gpu is slotted correctly into the motherboard and has a light showing some power but the fan is yet to spin and the computer is yet to recognise it, which cable do i buy? cheers.

If your PSU doesn't have the necessary connectors, chances are it's not an acceptable PSU for that card. What PSU do you have?

Well, it has enough watts and amps on the 12v rail, but it's not a recommended PSU here. If your budget doesn't allow for a better PSU with the right PCIe connectors, you can use a molex to PCIe connector. You didn't get one with the card? You can get them from Newegg or Ebay cheap:

okay, thanks a lot, so, its possible to run on the current PSU but is not recommend, how come?, i dont seem to have the cable and another PSU isnt really an option at the moment sadly.

It's just a very low quality PSU. Cheap caps, poor voltage regulation. You can look on the chart below to see the different PSU's and how they are ranked. I generally recommend the Tier 1 and 2 units when you can afford them.
