I have a very weird graphics related problem involving my screen going black.

**Edit: So i just tried it on my T.V and its fine it seems to be a monitor problem I have a Asus VS Serie VS248H 1080**

So when playing a game it almost randomly seems that my monitor will go black like it is off or the card has stopped rendering but as soon as i look away from the area i was looking at it fixes itself until i look back again. This happens in multiple areas and sometimes when i do not input any controls.

This has so far happened in fallout 4 and Elite Dangerous but not CS.GO.
I am running windows 10

My specs are DDR3 16GB (2x 8192MB) HyperX FURY schwarz DDR3-1866 DIMM CL10 Dual Kit

MB Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3 Intel Z97 So.1150 Dual Channel DDR3 ATX Retail

CPU Intel Core i7 4790K 4x 4.00GHz So.1150

PSU 600 Watt Corsair CX Series Modular 80+ Bronze

Radeon r9 290 (reference)

Solution
A monitor does not output a signal, it receives an input signal. There's a difference in a monitor not receiving any input and the graphics card actually outputting a black screen. If the monitor gets no signal, it'll say "no signal". Does it do that when it's black? Otherwise, the GPU is actually outputting black, which in my mind is just something wrong with the game.

I just updated my post there. I rigged my computer up to my tv and everything worked fine, so it seems to be a problem with the monitor specifically. Any ideas or should i just deal with using my tv? I have an Asus VS Serie VS248H 1080 btw

Okay I'll try and explain it better sorry if it wasn't clear its a very weird problem.

Okay so when i am playing fallout 4 for example the game will load fine and i can walk around and the monitor is working fine

But say I am walking toward a house in the game and i get close to the wall the screen will start giving me a solid black output like the monitor is off however as soon as i walk away from the wall the monitor will output a signal again

This is 100% reproducible with a lot of walls and large rocks in the game

I walk up : Black

I walk away: The game starts displaying fine again

I hope this is clearer :(

Yeah sorry :(

It does not say No Signal It just goes black.

It is however not a GPU problem.

So I have a save in the game where as soon as i load in I can only see a black screen. I load in with the monitor and I get a black screen until I move
I load in on my TV and there is no black screen and everything is fine in the game. So it is 100% a monitor problem. However the monitor never says it is not receiving a signal

I am using a DVI cable If that information is useful.
I'm sorry this problem is so weird. I can't even find anyone else who has a similar one.

I am so sorry for taking up any of your time. I enabled something called ASCR on my monitor settings the other day messing around trying to get a better picture and I just remembered and turned it off and the problem is now gone..

I have no idea why. Thank you for the help :)
