I'm about to buy a GPU for my new PC and I only plan to keep it until Pascal's launch then I'll switch and give the old card to my gf or resell it. I'm tied up between three cards all at the same price point and was looking for suggestions/opinions on what to go with. I have 300$ to spend and found a Evga Classified 780ti, Asus Strix 970, Powercolor PCs+ r9 390 all for 290-306$. Any ideas?

I would opt for the 970. The 780Ti is more powerful than but only has 3gb vram. I have a 780 and have hit 3gb vram in 3 games so far at 1080p which causes instant stuttering, now its easily fixed buy tweaking a few settings but the 3gb is becoming a limiting factor before gpu horsepower in the latest games

I want a card in my PC now to hold me over until pascals release. My last GPU was stolen and I won't be getting it back for a while. You think the 3gb vs 3.5gb would make that much of a difference though?
