is this ram compatible with my board and old pair rams ?

Hello i have and a simply question about rams

i have an config with
mb : msi z97 gaming 5
rams : Crucial Ballistix Elite 8gb (2x4GB) DDR3 1600
( BLE2CP4G3D1608DE1TX0CEU )
Tested Latency: 8-8-8-24

so and now i got offer from friend to rams but idk if they can be paired with that one which i have in pc now

offered rams from friend : Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 XMP
( KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX )
Tested Latency: 9-9-9-27


so can i buy them and install it to my config or rather i go with 8gb ? + thats also question for forum, i got 8gig with i5 4690k (@3.9ghz) and r9 290 4gig
playing just some world of warcraft and sometimes gta5 and thats all.

You may have decreased performance because of the different timings on the 2 RAM sets, but you're not maxing out the motherboard's RAM with 16GB of RAM, so you should be good.

There's never any guarantees of the DRAM even working when mixing sets - even if you get an identical set to what you have - if you try though and have problems let me know and we can try some adjustments to get them to play
