Im getting a new processor, motherboard and gpu and Ive been browsing these forums for a specific question but no answer. So here is my scenario. This pc currently is built by me, and i installed windows 7 on it from a cd. When windows 10 came out, I installed the free version via usb. Now i will be adding a new processor , mobo and gpu, but using the same harddrive, i really dont care about keeping my files, i rather do a full redo over of installation. So I was wondering what are the steps?

Ok I put the harddrive on the new motherboard, hook it up, bla bla bla.
Ok I turn it on, what will happen ?
Will the harddrive allow me the option to reinstall windows 10 , or at least reinstall window 7 ?
sad to ask this, since i was taking comp tia courses lol

Solution
All depends, generally Win will look at the new hardware, load default drivers and you'll be up and running. Then you load the latest mobo drivers from the mobo website, run a registry cleaner (Wise has a good free version) and you might have to reactivate Win
