Well my first and foremost suggestion , Go for Skylake. I5 6500 , B150, DDR4.
Can you tell why you are going for haswell?

Just curious to know , why h97 over b85 , what advantages do you see? plz support your answer with facts not subjective statements.

I see a lot of people buying expensive RAM, CPU and Video Card but cheap Motherboard. This is not OK if you want everything to run flawless. Search for a better MB and get a cheaper RAM as other 2 suggested. 1866 MHz RAM would provide very good balance between performance and price. And there are plenty good MB supporting it. If you choose an ASUS they have the list of officially supported and tested RAM on their support website.

More SATAs, more USBs, RAID support, 5th gen boardwell support. And it costs $10 extra at best.

FYI , the no of ports are same , for both h97 and b85. You have 6 SATA 6gbps ports and 2 USB 2.0 and 4 USB 3.0 ports on back panel in a h97 and 4 SATA 6gbps and 2 SATA 3gbps ports , and 4 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 ports on back panel, the only extra usb ports are achieved by a h97 is , via internal usb header which connects to the cabinet , which is always limited by the CPU chassis and hence remains same for both on the front end.

Raid support is not needed anymore since windows 8 since storage spaces is a very well implemented feature for Raid implementation on software level , ignoring the fact the no one even uses Raid for a gaming PC since it barely affects performance in gaming or load times .

Broadwell Desktop processors are so rare that they are not even marketed in most of the countries , since power consumption is hardly a factor for Desktops, and performance is exact same as haswell. So one would never upgrade to a broadwell .

Bottomline , If you have 6 Samsung SSD 850 pro and 6 USB 3.0 drives connected simultaneously you should go for an h97, but the no of devices that can be connected will be same, so even if two out of the six are mechanical / 2.0 USB , you are overspending.

Exactly what i would have got myself, and i did as you could see in the signature , could not get the B150 at that time. Also if you can get the r9 380/380X at similar prices , go for that one , since you can crossfire that on B150 boards, and its pretty much same performance , and good for future upgrades, since gtx 970 perfroms marginally better at Full HD but 380 has more edge in 2K and 4K gaming,

Nvidia SLI motherboards are different . they usually cost double the amount of a b150 board. they are all Z170 boards btw.
So you cannot SLI on a lower end motherboard, but you can crossfire on one since AMD allows vendors to use its technologies without a premium.

Let me make it simple.
B150 and H170 boards support only crossfire , which is using two AMD cards together.
z170 entry level boards can support crossfire, z170 higher end board (which cost around 40% more than an entry level z170) will support SLI also , which is using two Nvidia cards together.

First thing , nvidia gtx 750TI are not SLI compatible , so sell those if you have 2 of them .
second , buy the build you proposed , with replacing the graphics card to a radeon 380x.
Intel Core i5-6500 - Boxed
Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H
Corsair Vengeance LPX - DDR4 2133Mhz CL13 Kit Black - 8GB
Samsung 850 EVO - 250GB
Western digital Blue - 1TB
Sapphire's Nitro Radeon R9 380X 4GB
Cooler Master N300 - Black
Seasonic S12II Series - 620W
Lite-On IHDS118
Microsoft Windows 10 Home NL 64bit OEM
Microsoft Office 2016 Home & Student NL

For now buy a single card , in future if you need more graphical power , buy another 380X and corssfire
