Hi guys,

I cant get my PC to post :(
When i press the power on button, the PC starts booting up, after about 10 sec it turns off.
If i try turning it on again, it starts, then a clicking sound occurs - turns off and starts a loop like this "turn on > click > turn off". The codes on the mobo are changing quite fast different, but the last three before turning off are 69, bd and 33.
When i press the CMOS button, it starts "normally" but after about 10 seconds turns off and the same again...
Everything like EPU, TPU etc. is disabled.

I tried to remove the RAM - same scenario
when i unplug the CPU or remove it - the pc stays turned on with code 00 and doesnt shut down.
When i connect an ATX-bridging plug - the PSU runs fine.

The "story":
I recently bought a used X99E-WS Mobo and a brandnew 5820k CPU.
Everything worked fine while i was running tri-fire 295X2 and 290X.
When i removed the 295X2 and installed the 290X everything worked fine.
I started a game via Steam which started lagging extremely and the whole PC was kinda blocking/freezing. Then i forced it to tun off, since then i cannot turn the pc on again.
I also upgraded the Graphics card (thought, maybe the GPU on the 290X is faulty...) with an 980Ti Poseidon, the card has indicator LEDs for power. Even those light up when turning on the pc.
The diag dram and diag cpu LEDs light up shortly when turning on, but turn off and the a few seconds later the pc turns off.

I dont know if its the Mobo or the CPU. At first i thought the PSU is faulty...

Do you guys have any ideas? I would appreciate some help on this before sending the Mobo or CPU to RMA.

Setup:

i7 5820K (not overclocked)
G.Skill Ripjaws 4x 8G DDR4-2400
Asus X99E-WS mobo
Asus GTX 980Ti Poseidon
Samsung EVO 850 500GB
EVGA 1300 Supernova G2 PSU
Watercooling EKWB Supremacy, EKWB D5 PWM, Alphacool 360 rad, alphacool 120 rad,...

i just found an interesting article...

My model is: EVGA 120-G2-1300-XR

unfortunately not :( the CPU is not even a month old.
if i had one i would test it with the mobo. probably i'll go to a repair shop to let them test the hardware.
and probably i will also give them the PSU for inspection, maybe the 12V rails for the CPU are faulty?
i even tried to connect both cpu 8pins on the mobo.

im quite sure, i always did a 12h leak test after finishing the loop and then turned the PC on if it was ok.
til now i never had a leak.

i guess i will also try BIOS Flashback with removed cpu etc. and check the pins on the socket if there is a bent one.
tonight i'll visit a friend and we'll try it with his PSU to completely exclude the PSU as the problem source.
in the other hand the mobo is a workstation mobo, i would be surprised if its faulty...

thats a great idea... i should have thought of that. i used to remove those because of the annyoing beep everytime when turning on the pc.

Thanks, i'll try it out after work tonight

thanks for the guide, already checked most of them. will try the rest asap.
i also found a video on youtube

i have the exact same thing, except the last code before it turns off - i get a 33 not a 00 code.
this guy replaced the PSU and it worked..
it's weird, i tried yesterday with a friends PSU and checked mine with a multimeter, seems ok.

the voltages are normal on all 12v rails. the PSU from my friend Corsair RM1000 showed the same symptoms. turn on 1st time, a few seconds - turn off, after that as usual on-off reboot loop.
i will try a bios flashback tonight. maybe it will help. it would be great to have a spare cpu or mobo to test them.

i went to get the hardware tested, the guy in the repair center was also clueless... :/ after that i've contacted Asus on thursday, today i'll receive a replacement board.

Thanks for your help.
