Whenever i start the computer to install windows on my new hard drive it detects my USB (windows install) and the hdd itself but after i get to Partition select in windows install the hard drive dissapears , i get to choose the partition format it, and sometimes even start the install, depending on how fast i go thru it but the hard drive seems to dissapear after a set amount of time. I tried changing to other SATA ports on the mb,bought a new sata cable and tried 2 different Power Sources, same deal, after it dissapears the first time the hard drive wont be detected by bios for a couple of boots but after a while it will and it's the same everytime, windows install , get to select partition and it's gone again.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.

Edit:Boogieman_WD,thanks for the response,my motherboard is an Asrock 870icafe and the only available bios update is the stock one 1.00 already updated it once succesfully, i'm gonna try that again. The drive is detected in another system. I actually don't know what's up ,i might try and get another motherboard, maybe this one is dying or something, what's wierd is that the hard drive is detected at times i managed to get a full windows install but after it restarted from updates same thing happens.
Edit2:Forgot to mention the hard drive is a Western Digital WD10EZEX 1TB.

Solution
Hey there, Alucard_2.

Try connecting the drive to a different computer, either externally (via a SATA to USB adapter, external enclosure, or a docking station) or internally, to see if Windows can recognize it. If everything seems fine, download the HDD manufacturer's diagnostics tool and run the tests on the drive, to see if anything out of the ordinary pops-up.
You could also try resetting or updating your BIOS/UEFI if it's possible to do that with a flash drive, to see if that fixes things up.

Please let me know how it goes.

Hey mate, it might be easier for our communication and other people with similar problems to be able to read through the thread if you could just reply under my massage. ;)

Sorry to hear you're still having issues with that. If the drive is detected by other systems without a hitch it might be a mobo problem, but don't go running off to get a new one just yet.
From what I understand from your private message, you've run the Quick test of DLG. If it didn't find any issues with the drive, go ahead and proceed with the Extended test as well. Please let me know how it goes afterwards. If everything seems to be fine with the HDD, you could get your PC to a computer service shop, to see if the guys there can diagnose the issue and fix it.

Please keep me posted.
