I love the design for both of them and was wondering if one is considered superior to the other or if it's just a matter of personal preference.

Also, will either of these fit the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO?

Solution
It's mostly a matter of preference. The main difference is that the Define S has almost nothing in the front of the case, leaving most of the space for watercooling components, and only a few HDD sleds in the back of the motherboard tray. The Define R4 (and the newer R5) are more traditional cases with a bunch of HDD cages in the front of the case.

The maximum cooler height in the Define S and Define R4 are 180mm and 170mm respectively, and Cooler Master says the 212 EVO is 159mm tall, so it should fit in either case.
