My hp pavillion 15 has decided to not let me use my usb ports lately. It installed a null driver on its own and I cant seem to undo it. I cant install or update a driver. I can find the event in event viewer but cant seem to figure out how to actually undo the process. Pretty frustrating... any ideas?

Sounds to me like you have a malware issue. Download and install malwarebytes, for starters.
