My PC can't connect via ethernet but my laptop can (same cable)

Hi !

so the title says it all but to say a bit more.

i today got a new router because of a malfunction but now my pc can´t connect to the ethernet cable, on wifi it just works fine.
when i try to connect the same cable that din´t work on my pc into my laptop however i do get a signal and can internet just fine.
Why isn´t this working? is there something i can do with CMD or maybe driver>?

Mobo Asrock 970 extreme3 R2.0 and a CAT 5E cable (homemade)
and router is a ZTE

Did you go into the PC's wired network adapter and reconfigure the adapter to match the router?

Double check all of your wired network adapter settings and compare the laptop's wired settings to those of the PC. DHCP setting, subnet mask, gateway, etc.... Be sure to save/apply/ok those setting before exiting the configuration windows.

You can run "ipconfig /all" from the CMD mode on both the PC and laptop to make the comparison easier.
