So, i have the i7 4790 (not 4790K, don't ask why), and my PC has been going through some random crashes lately. I've rooted it to being that the CPU was overheating, and had a look with some stress testing with p95. Lo and behold the package is reading temps of 100C. I was terrified of watching it go any higher, so I turned off the test when it hit 100. I'm running on the stock cooler, but I've tried changing the thermal paste to something higher quality. What do you guys think I should do?

p95 v. 28.7

I didn't know that, but why would it do that, and can I disable it?
