old hdd dead, new ssd install help

i have a new samsung SSD drive for my acer laptop

the old HDD is completely dead nothing to migrate from.

the laptop will not accept new ssd, acer customer service want my to buy a windows 8 cd
to fix the problem.

What do you mean the laptop will not accept the new SSD? How so? Are you getting an error message? Does it not physically fit? Is it not showing up when you try to install the new OS?

the drive fits the computer turns on it said select a boot path(no options to select) then nothing, no bios menu no options in boot menu if i restart it.

i tryed my widows 7 it said the computer was under a security thing so it will not accept windows 7, currently downloading an iso of windows 8

It sounds like the firmware on that SSD isn't supported. If that's the case, it makes sense that the vendor said to upgrade the OS.
