I have a usb hub, it's a powered usb hub, works perfectly, when i plug my mouse in it, it gets recognized, i hear the sound, the lights on my mouse are on, device manager lists it without issues but the mouse simply does not work. Doesn't move doesn't click. mouse connects perfectly fine to the laptop usb, i tried disabling and enabling, no luck, i tried uninstalling the driver from Device manager then plugging the mouse in so it install itself, it installs but still, only lights, mouse not working. I tried having the mouse on the hub alone still didn't work, then i put like 7 usbs on the hub and all worked flawlessly. so the hub is working great alone, the mouse is working great alone, they don't seem to work together

What's going on?

Solution
Even a USB hub with its own power can only distribute a limited amount equally. If it's a fancier mouse, that hub just might not have enough power to support it plus everything else you have plugged in.

Wireless mice have had a habit of not playing well with others. This is probably because of the firmware of the mouse, or whatever; but this isn't the first time I've heard something like this. I hate to say it, but unless you want to get the vendor on the phone, going to need a dedicated port for it.
