PC shuts down when playing games for 2 mins

hi i need help my pc always shuts down when playing big games like fallout xcom and skyrim
my laptop barley gets that hot its a normal temp when it happens

heres my specs

THINKPAD X131E AMD LAPTOP
Windows 7 Professional
32 bit
processor: intel(R) core(TM) i3-2367M CPU @ 1.40GHz 1.40 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
and i think thats all

Either overheating or the power supply not able to generate enough sustained power.

But yeah, thinkpads were not designed with games in mind.

Gaming on a Lenovo Thinkpad is why.
That series of Thinkpads were designed for school use and education, not gaming so what did you expect. And I'm pretty sure the laptop is overheating, or the battery at least. There is no way it wont overheat when playing triple A titles like fallout.
To fix the crashing problem, put like a fan underneath the laptop and take out the battery to prevent it from overheating.
