Brand New Hard Drive Problems

Okay so here's the story:

My computer is an Acer Predator G3620 that I've been building off of for a few years now. The only OEM parts left on it currently are the mobo, the disk drive, and the RAM cards. I replaced the OEM PSU with a KingWin Mach1 800 W, the GPU with a EVGA GTX 660, added a 500 GB drive salvaged out of an old Maxtor external drive at the time to go with the OEM 2TB HDD, and an LED kit.

This 500 GB drive was an older model Seagate and versus the stock 2TB it was making more noise and was notably slower performing, not all that surprising. This drive then bites the dust and somehow causes my other drive to screw up along with it. I managed to get my stuff backed up but the 2TB was not running well anymore so I decided to get replacements.

At this point I ordered a KingDian 60 GB SSD for Windows 10 and got new Seagate 2TB and 500 GB drives to replace the old ones. This setup worked fantastically but I will point out the 2TB would occasionally make a quiet chirp every couple of minutes or so but it didn't seem to affect anything. Flash forward a month or so and for whatever reason the 500 GB decides to start making odd noises, disconnecting itself, spooling up repetitively, and causing my other drive to start screwing up in about the same way too. The SDD was unaffected by this.

I sent the 500 GB back to Seagate for a replacement since I figured it was the once making all the noises and disconnecting itself in the first place that it was the problem. With that the drive gone, the 2TB was working like nothing has happened. Just today my replacement 500 GB drive from Seagate arrived and I installed it. Almost instantly the issue returned and both drives are just randomly disconnecting themselves or not showing up at all when I boot up the computer. Once again the SSD has been unaffected by this and the HDD problem has only caused one BSOD since it started.

At this point I'm at a total loss for what's wrong. I know the problem can't possibly be with the 500 GB drive since it's brand new. The 2TB may be a culprit but it might not be since it seems to work alright when the 500 GB is unplugged from the PC. My next best guess is that it could be an issue with the SATA cables or maybe the PSU which again I doubt since it should be able to support my setup but I may be wrong. I hope it's nothing deeper because I don't want to turn this into a huge expense. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah I figured it may have been the PSU. Probably should have went with the more trusted brands when I replaced the OEM PSU. What would be a good replacement thats modular and around the 700 to 800 W range?
