Hey,

I currently own an Intel Core i7 3770k @ 3.5GHz and had some issues with my cables a while back with the fans not working etc. However since then I've managed to fix all the fans that weren't working, completely cleaned the case of dust including all fans and filters including the CPU fan and filter. My CPU cooler is a Corsair single rad.. however i cant give you the exact name of it. Anyway, after doing all these steps my CPU is in the mid 80's when running around 40-50% usage. I use CPUID Hardware Monitor to read the temps.

Idle- 30-40c
Max load using Prime95- 90-105c

It's not overclocked in anyway, however most of my components excluding GPU and ram is roughly 3-4 years old. Only option left is I can think of is to re-apply thermal paste as it's as old as the computer itself.

Thanks in advance.

P.S I do live in Australia.. and it's currently summer.. and today is 32c (probably hotter in my room). Room is on the top level aswell.

My 4790k hangs around 30-40c on really low fan speeds. But yeah, do what Petrossa said, re-apply the thermal paste and make sure the cooler is clean and has proper contact with the CPU. (make sure you take off the old paste)
