Hello, forum! I'm from Russia, so my English is not perfect, sorry. I want to ask you about usabiity of GTX 960 SLI. I have 1 GPU now and I'm thinking of SLI in further. I know that in very good optimized AAA titles these 2 cards can make a good compettition for GTX 980. What do you think?
Do not offer to sell and buy GTX 970 or smth like this - I'm asking your opinion about GTX 960 SLI.

If you really would sli two gtx 960 dont expect it to perform any much better than the gtx 970, in some benchmarks the 970 beats them though because of the terrible sli scaling in some games. But if you are going to sli them both card is recommended to be 4gb vram each. if your current 960 is 2gb vram its not worth it because your not going to be able to max out the settings, your cards will start stuttering way before that. But if your card is 4gb vram i would say go for it mate!

But games already can use RAM as exchange.

Maybe you won't like it. But I have a test by a guy from CIS, who made the comparsion between 2 and 4 gigbaytes versions. Difference was only in new Batman, other games were less tahn 1%

Im only going to say this one more time and i hope you understand what i meen.
If your going with GTX 960 sli you would normally run with full settings correct? Well, you will definetly use over 2gb of vram. If you exceed this limit your games will start stuttering in "most" cases. If you put 2x GTX 960 2GB versions in sli you still only have 2gb usable vram.
Therefore you should only consider sli them for it to be worth it if both are 4gb versions, i hope it clarify things.

Funny really, you speak like you have first hand experience but in fact have zero. BTW, you're wrong. He will see a notable improvement even with the 2 gb version in SLI.

OP, if your motherboard and PSU can support it as well as have the money and can find a good price on a 960, do it. I know it would! Two 960's are better then one 960.
