Wifi internet connection drops every few seconds to minutes

Hi there. The other day, I moved into a new home with some family. When I got here, I asked if they had Wifi, and they gave me the password but told me that they had problems with it. As it turns out, there's a pretty serious problem that I've been unable to find a solution to on my own. The internet access drops every few seconds to maybe a few minutes, at most. The signal is still there, and I am still connected to the router, but it just won't access the internet, at all. This has proven true on my laptop, my phone, and three other phones, as well. This makes me assume that it's a universal problem, and not a problem with the devices. It's also worth noting that the wired connection to the desktop has no issues with connectivity, at all. The modem/router is a Cisco DPC3825, and the internet service provider is Cox. Any suggestions?
