Hey everyone,

I'm reaching out to hope that I can find a solution to my problem. It seems that every day my Netgear Nighthawk R7000 drops wifi. Users who are hooked up through the LAN have no problems and periodically some phones can stay connected to the wifi without issues, but other phones and all laptops drop connection daily, which is solved a restarting the router. It started happening a few weeks back but hasn't gotten better with any steps I've taken. The router is on the latest available firmware (V1.0.6.28_1.1.83) and I did a factory reset the other day to try and see if this might have corrected the problems, which it did not.

The router is hooked up to a UPS (we are in a small office environment) so it doesn't lose power frequently (only when I manually shut it down to restart, when the reboot through the web portal doesn't fix the problem and instead causes everyone, including wired connections, to lose connection). Our total office clients are maybe about 25-30 max, which includes wired and wireless (though I can't imagine the Netgear Router having max-connection issues with such a low number of users).

We've had this router for a little over a year now (maybe a year and a half?) but I wouldn't expect this problem to happen so often with a less-than-2-year-old router. Anyone experience this before or know of a solution?

Thanks in advance for anyone's response!

I wish I could but Netgear won't let me get in touch with them in any way/shape/form since it's out of warranty (more than 2 months? which sounds ridiculous if you ask me) and I refuse to buy a support package. At that point I'd buy a non-Netgear router...
