Adding a wireless router behind a TP-Link R860 wired router from Hotwire Comm?

I tried replacing the R860 with my Belkin AC1200 wireless router and the internet won't work. When I hook the AC1200 behind the R860 (or any of its wall LAN port) the wireless internet works "most of the time". I am looking for a solution to setup a wireless network that works "all the time"..

BTW if I connect my computer directly to the R860 the internet works flawlessly.

Solution

trying to get two consumer grade routers to work flawlessly on the same network is not a good idea.

you have 2 options:

1. figure out why the Belkin AC1200 wireless router is not working by itself and fix it.

2. get a wireless access point (not a router) and use it with the R860.
