Alright, This is my first build in years and I feel like I'm dealing with alien technology.
I have an ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z mobo and and EVGA Supernova 850 G2.
Up top on the mobo I have an 8pin cup power spot and to the right I have an additional 4pin. Now I know I don't NEED to plug both in and would be ok to just run the 4pin, but I want to use the 8 pin. My problem is this is my first modular psu and the cables provided for the CPU have one side 8pin and the otherside is two 4pin. I can't plug the two 4pins into my PSU, only the end with the 8pin. Can I plug both 4pin to the same 8pin spot on the mobo?
