We have replaced the 4 TB SATA HDDDrive on one of our Dell systems running on Windows 10 with Samsung 1 TB SSD. However, the system freezes whenever we use it for running code (basically with heavy usage). Is it an issue due to Windows OS? Why? any help is much appreciated.

Hey there, Aditie.

First you should backup any important data which you might have on that drive, just to be on the safe side. When you're done with that, you'll have to try a couple of things to see what we can find out about the problem.
Please make sure that the SATA cable is properly connected to the drive and the motherboard. If everything seems OK, try the drive with a different SATA port and different cables, or even better - a different computer.
I'd suggest that you download an SSD diagnostics tool to test the drive and see if any errors pop-up. Other than that, make sure that the SATA mode is set to AHCI. Check if there's a firmware update available for the SSD. Try resetting/updating your BIOS/UEFI.

Hope that helps. Please...
