Ok, (bear with me I'm not very hardware knowledgable) I've looked just about everywhere but no one can seem to give me a straight answer to this question. I have an Alienware Aurora R3 Desktop. In it, there is a liquid cooler (which I cannot seem to find a name for anywhere or online) and I want to get a better one to replace it. Are there possible compatibility issues (will only certain liquid coolers work with my computer) or can I use just about any liquid cooling system. If there are compatibility requirements, what are they? I just upgraded from an i5 to an i7 2600k, and my idle temps are around 45-50C, and I want it to be idle under 35C.

I can't give a straight answer too,but contact Dell if you want that.

From what i can find out is the cooler a pretty basic 120mm aoi watercooler which could be replaced by any 120mm watercooler.A Corsair H80i GT should bring temps down imo,if nothing interferes on the motherboard with the second fan.It has longer tubes so you would need to make them fit.
I don't know the case measurements, but a lower aircooler should work too like the CRYORIG H7 which is only 145mm tall/high.

Since you changed cpu's you changed paste too, tried to do that again with a bit less used? Maybe clean the cooler with a soft brush or some compressed air.
