I have a new HDD and a new SSD. I want to switch to both, how would I do this?

My computer was always slow when it came to loading things or multiple tasks, and looking at task manager it was never cpu or memory, but instead my hard drive. So I bought a new hard drive, and got an SSD as well. So, I want to move my stuff to my new hard drive and have my OS on my SSD because people say that's what you should use it for. What I need to know is what should I start first? Putting my OS on SSD or moving my data to my new hard drive? Also if possible, does anyone know of any trustworthy guides for doing these tasks?

Hey there, Gengars!

I'd recommend you to perform a clean install of Windows OS on the SSD, instead of migrating it from your old drive. Since you won't be changing the computer/motherboard, you should be able to use the same OS version with the same product key (activation code).
Since both the SSD & the HDD are new, you can simply unplug the old drive and start with the SSD only until Windows is installed. Afterwards, you can plug back the new secondary HDD and reformat it for data use.
If you have any data that you wish to transfer from the old drive to the new one, you can connect that drive as well and access all the data. However, if you want to have it in the system with the other storage drives, it's recommended to...

However, if you want to have it in the system with the other storage drives, it's recommended to reformat it once you have the data backed up from it (the boot sector on it could cause some issues with the system otherwise).
