I have encountered this problem on two games only, the first one being Borderland : The Pre-Sequel and the second one Dishonored. But first my Spec. :

Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz
Graphic Card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750
With a basic 1680x1050 resolution for my main screen
Memory : 16 GB
OS : Windows 8.1 64-Bit
And an ASUSTeK Motherboard

So my problem as the title says is when i play those two games after 5 minutes for Borderland and for dishonored i can't even start a game. When it appens the screen will turn black / grey / white or pink and the sound loops until i have to manually close my computer for it to stop. I never played these games and i would love to.
I tried lots of things i saw on other forums, but nothing helped. I tried updating my graphic card driver and other drivers, monitering all my computer parts to see their temperatures no problem there, i also tried unplugging my second monitor nothing... Now i'm out of idea if someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance !!

By the way sorry if my english is bad...

That is most likely the problem. Looks like a low quality psu. Get a better one from evga or another well know brand. Never cheap out on the psu. That's more than likely the cause of the problem.

Also in windows event log after you crash. Are you getting the error kernel event power 41 or display driver has stopped responding?

Also what are your ingame temps for your gpu under load? It might be that the gpu is overheating and that's causing the crashes. Is it overclocked? If so try running it at default.

I'm thinking it's the psu to be honest though.

Download ddu and select nvidia. Select clean and shut down. Then take the gpu out of the pci slot and check for dust, reseat the card firmly, make sure all the wires are secured, etc. Then boot, go to nvidia's website and download a fresh set of the latest drivers and install.

If that doesn't work I have some other suggestions. Also what is your power supply?

Thanks for your time, but I tried what you said and it did not work. Neither Borderland nor Dishonored would work unfortunately. Still the same problem...
And as you asked my PSU :
I did not really know what to note but it was writen AcBel that looks like the company. HBA008-ZA1GT 350 looks like the model or something... Then there was AC Input : 110-120V-,8.0A,50-60Hz 220-240V-,4.0A,50-60Hz
and a total wattage of 286.4W and an other wattage besides it of 13.6W. And finally a peak of 350W that lasts for 30 secondes. That was all the information i felt necessary to write down hope it's enough and thanks again !
