I need the best cpu cooler for a i7 6700k, and i want to have the ability to oc. I have 34.54 mm tall ram, just so you know that. It is hyperx savage ddr4 2666mhz 2x8 gb cl13 ram.

The full size NH-D15 is @ 1 degree cooler than the NH-D14 at 150w, which is a decent OC on your cpu. The DRP3 is 7 degrees warmer than the D15. This is where you'll find the D15S. The D14 easily outperforms the D15S. Take the basic same D14 heatsink and remove the 120mm fan, and you get a D15S.

What you aren't understanding, all these high grade coolers will perform almost exactly the same for you, you'll not be able to OC a Skylake cpu hot enough to reach the maximum TDP of any of these. You'll hit the high voltage wall before that.

CRYORIG R1 Universal CPU Cooler[/b]

Unmatched Compatibility
Zero RAM Interference

Focusing on providing the widest range of compatibility, the R1 utilizes an asymmetric slanted heatpipe layout to move the front heatsink fin stack further away from the RAM zone. Also, fitted with a 13mm thin XT140 the CRYORIG R1 offers optimal compatibility for RAM with tall heat spreaders on both Intel (115X/1366/775) and AMD platforms.

Sorru for not answering. Some information: Case: fractal design r5 type of cpu cooler: all, as long as it is quiet and the ram fit with the cooler. I want corsair h110, since it is a very good cooler, but the noice concern's me ( i want a quiet pc )

Would a noctu nh d15 fit with hyperx savage ram? They are 34,5 mm tall.

Well, if i dont need a D15, and you say i should go for a d14, i might as well go for the BeQuiet! dark rock pro 3? But you didn't answer my question though:) Would the 34,5 mm tall ram fir with a d15?

The d15 has major clearance issues with anything but low profile ram in slots 0/1. The heatsink itself doesn't have the issue, it'll clear tall ram, but the heatsink is 160mm tall, now add a 140/150mm fan to that and you end up with @165mm leaving you 15-25mm for ram clearance. Even cheating the fan up 5mm only leaves 20-30mm in the first 2x ram slots. The NH-D14 uses a 120mm Fan on the leading edge, vrs a NH-D15 140mm fan. The performance is almost identical except for ultra high TDP, where the NH-D15 has a decent advantage.

If you plan on pushing an OC that high on skylake where you'd be skirting voltage limits of the cpu, as SR-71 suggested, I'd be looking at either the Cryorig R1, which has similar performance to the D15, or liquid cooling. The Dark Rock Pro is closer to the D14 in ability

Thanks! What about a noctua nh d15s? There is only one fan though, but is it better than the nh d14 and dark rock pro in temperatures? And how about noise? is the d15s as quiet as the other coolers you have mentioned?

Nh d15
pros:
- Very good temps
- relativly quiet

cons:
-big
-bad ram clearance

Nh d15s:
pros:
- good ram clearance
- good temps?
-quiet?

cons:
Only one fan, but i dont know how much difference it would be.

Dark rock pro 3:
pros:
very quiet

cons:
not a very good cooler for overclocking, but okey temps?

nh d14: i dont know about this though

In my eyes, the nh d15s is the best option i think? It has the ram clearance and it has better temps than nh d14 and dark rock pro 3. I want very good temps:)
