Hello!

Recently with the help of a store clerk we built a computer for my girlfriend, as she wanted to play LoL and WoW with me and my friends. The problem is, when a game launches, her computer blacks out. Once she starts it up again it's completely normal, but if she launches a game, it happens again.

Her specs are as follows: OS: Windows 7 64-bit

CPU: Intel Core I5 4460 3.20ghz 6mb

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-S1

Ram: 8 Gb DDR3 1600

Power Supply: Cooler Master B500 V2 500W

http://pastebin.com/KdVQWGbr - dxdiag, not sure if helpful, but i felt i should include it

Thank you for your time and patience.

1) hardware monitor says all your voltages are wrong, so go into the bios, and check your voltages
2) make sure you have the latest drivers for motherboard and GPU - free from manufacturers website.
3) run the passmark computer test. This tests the whole PC bit by bit, so that should help you decide where there is a problem

And how do i make it go to 12? I'm sorry i'm kinda just a noob trying to help his girl :p.

I have also just noticed this is happening on my PC as well.
the 12 V and 5 V are at 0.000

Sometimes hwmonitor will give the wrong readings.
That is why I suggest you press the delete key when your computer is starting up, go into BIOS, then find the PC health status screen which allows you to check your 12V, 5V and 3.3V supply voltages

Okay, in the bios the voltages seem fine.
Is it possible that the PSU just isn't strong enough?
Also, if one of the parts is not correctly setup, may that be causing the crashes?

If the voltages are fine, your PSU is probably working OK

Next thing,
run a benchmark like the one on passmark.com. How well does your computer do?
Does it go to a black screen and shut down? If so, which part of the test routine is it trying to do when it fails?

We formated the computer and ran that benchmark after installing and updating every driver. It didn't crash and gave us this result: http://imgur.com/EimuI9e

Also when we turned league of legends on, it didn't shut down.

Looks like the driver update fixed it.
Happy gaming
