So basically my pic will be running fine I will get the performance i am expecting to get but after I shut down my system the next day I boot it up and I will be getting horrible performance in games but it is fine on google and my desktop but it will work fine after a restart or two not sure why this is happening I have no idea if this is a cpu problem or a hdd not working properly.

Cpu i5-4670k
Moba Asus z97-a
Ram corsair vengance 8gb(2 4gb)
Gpu 970 strix
Psu cx600
Hdd western digital caviar blue 1tb

I had a similar issue a while back where my pc ran good one day then the next it was terrible, the issue for me was my cpu cooler was failing and i also needed to reapply thermal paste, maybe check you cpu temps

thanks I will try that when I get home from school today how much does thermal paste usually cost and I have an h60 that I bought a few weeks ago I will install that and see how it works

Yeah, the temps are fine , can you run a game for a while then send a screen shot of the temps while the game is running
