Ok. So this is a compatibility concern in terms of size. Right now I have a TX3EVO fitted in. All my RAM slots are used up and there is only 2cm gap between the heatsink and the RAM. Also, by default I could not mount the TX3EVO with the fan on the side of the RAM so that the air is pushed out of the case. Reason being the RAM stick gets in the way and would bend if I tried to cram it in. High profile RAMS are a pain here.

So I am looking at a sub $100 cooler. Like say...

DeepCool FrostTwin/ Lucifer/ Assassin II

CoolerMaster 412/ 212 (Though the 212 is least prefered)

Dont know much about Noctuas offerings. Basically I want something that fits along the RAM sticks.

I'm not an expert, and my only experience with the Noctua D15 product is reviews, so this is just my two cents. If you are looking for an air cooler having all ram slots, and all your ram slots are on one side (not an x99 board), you might want to look into the Noctua D15S, it'll give you 65mm clearance for RAM. I recommend you take a look at Noctuas specifications though to make sure that it doesn't superimpose with any other components, the D15 isn't small. The price at the moment on Amazon is 80 USD, and represents from the reviews I've read one of the best heatsinks you can get.

P.S. Not sure how far the heatpipes extrude from the base, it might be more than 2cm, might not.
