i cannot get my laptop to connect to the wifi at my school its secured with 802.1x EAP
you have to logon with your student id and password when the window pops up and i enter it it says invalid i have no clue how to get it to work. it works fine on my phone with the same info

Have you ever connected any other devices using that user id and password? Sorry to state the obvious but the most likely cause of something like that is the wrong user id and password. Are you absolutely sure its correct? If so I would contact the IT guy at your school, they may have given you the wrong info or didn't set up your account properly.

I would just contact the local school network admin. It could be on the authentication part of the school server. Are you running any type of ad-block extensions for your browser?
