Mobo: Asrock Z170 Pro4S
Bios: 2.9
CPU: i5-6600k
Ram: 16 GB G Skill Ripsaw 15 Latency
GPU: XFX R9-390P-8256
HDD: M.2 Samsung 950 256 GB (Boot)
OS: Windows 10

It took me quite a while to get my computer to recognize the samsung drive. Once it was finally installed, I loaded up windows 10. Now that everything is up and running fine, Id like to start tuning things. I notice in the UEFI that there is an option for "fast" and "ultra fast" so i changed it to fast and booted. It seemed faster, but I now want to move to "Ultra Fast." However, when I do this, the Mobo no longer recognizes that I have an M.2 drive installed and loads directly to UEFI. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there an easy fix?

I've got the Asrock Z97 Extreme 6; Bios 2.50; CPU i5 4690K; RAM 16Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro 2133Mz; GPU: Evga Geforce GTX960 ; PSU: be Quiet Dark Pro 11 850W; Boot drive : Samsung SM950 Pro NVMe 512Gb installed in Ultra M.2 slot; Secondary SSD Samsung SM951 M.2 NGFF 512Gb. OS: Windows 10 Pro.

I have the SM950 Pro in the ultra M.2 slot 1 ( supposedly upto 32Gb/s ) the SM951 M.2 NGFF in the M.2 slot 2. (Not Ultra). In the ASRock UEFI System Browser both the SM950 Pro and the SM951 show up in their respective slots. However when configuring the boot menu M.2 slot 2 shows the SM951 but no sign of the SM950 pro in M.2 slot 1. Both SSDs show up in the boot order for SSDs though. The SM950 shows N1 Samsung SM950. Can't tell if I'm getting a...

You gotta ask what Asrock what they mean by "ultra fast". It could mean skip loading firmware support code for exotic devices. Right now, an M.2 drive could be considered exotic. Possibly.

Can't tell if I'm getting a decent speed out of it, doesn't seem anything special. Be interesting to know eays of sppeding up my system, I'm a bit of a novice.
