Ok, so I was given a MOBO and CPU from a friend at work and I had an extra brand new case and psu in the closet. Its a DH55TC / i3 with a small CoolerMaster air cooler, Corsair 650m and a Thermal Master CoolerMaster case. I had a single stick of AMD 1333 ram laying around so I'm using that for now until I get everything up and running. I want to make sure it's going to last for a while. I've got Windows 7 Ultimate installed on the machine for now. But the problem I'm having is I can't get AMD Catalyst installer to recognize this GPU. I plug the monitor into the GPU, not the motherboard so its working but its only recognized as a generic VGA device. I'm not sure where to go at this point to get the catalyst software installed. I think that will fix my issue if I can figure out how to get it to recognize the card.

i3
DH55TC
Asus R9 270 2GB
1 4GB stick of old AMD ram(this is temporary)
Corsair 650m
320GB HD for now
ThermalMaster Cooler Master case

I spent 7 days working on trying to get my R7800 series ATI/AMD video card installed and the system would just never see the card 5 out of 6 posts. Would also get the double beep from the motherboard on occasion. You really need to stop right now trying to install the driver and instead go the the software/drivers section on intels website and grab the latest FIRMWARE for the board. After I had downloaded this using a old PCI clot 32mb video card as my display card just so I could get into windows to download and install the BIOS update (Version 48 I believe is the last one). , it solved all of my issues with PCIe cards and the board.

And specifically you wan to download this bios file below and click and run it in windows. It will reboot and when it does it will update your motherboard to version 48. DO NOT turn the PC off while it does this. It will take about 4 minutes and you will see a dos screen while it updates the bios.
