Hi everyone in going to build my first gaming pc with a budget of £650. I am new so I do not know much about what brands\parts are good. Can anyone create a good £650 pc part\component for a gaming and give me the specs? Thx.
I did some research and here's the specs I have http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/rsFNK8
Please mention if there a problem with it or how I can improve with it.you do not need to include the os with it.

This one is a bit more balanced build:

You could replace that 380 with R9 390 Nitro but that will come up to 720 pounds.

for gaming intel i5 6600 is better it has ddr4 ram support and gets massively higher fps than any current AMD cpu Intel is better than AMD for gaming purposes. The best build i see here is Forever Oleg's build, but replace the 212 evo with the cryorig h7

plenty of gaminig pc's have AMD cpu's and that is fine for a lower budget, they are ok for gaming and excellent in game like bf4 or crysis, you you cant say they are not for gaming

Okay but I thought the higher clock rate and six core cpu would help gaming more? I know that and is known for higher clock rates and poorer single core performance but doesn't that higher clock rate and more cores help? Also I'm more of a gtx fan so I'm going for the gtx970

FX-8320 is also frequently used for game streaming and video editing. People choose the 8320 OVER the i5 just for that reason. FX-8320 is VERY capable in gaming and will be for the next couple of years unless you are talking about very high end cards like GTX 980/980 Ti that will be bottlenecked by it.

Higher clock =/= better performance.

You cannot compare clock speeds of CPUs of different architectures. Single core performance of a 2.7ghz i5 is around 35-40% better than that of a 3.7ghz FX-X3XX processor.

Thankyou. So much for all of you guys help. I will now buy the 6600k and i agree with forever oleg setup but I'm building my pc in 2 weeks time.

I will change the case to the carbide spec 3 but if I change the motherboard will it affect any performances and realiability of the pc itself because I want it to last a long time. Also I'm going for the gtx 970 which means I need to cut down on some of the specs because with forever oleg setup with my preferences its costing more than £700. Can anyone kindly here to make it £670 with the same cpu but with gtx 970, carbide 3. Thankyou everyone

Motherboard does not affect performance but it is important to get a good one.

FYI: You said that you will overclock just a little bit which is why I chose the locked i5-6600 and Asrock mobo - Asrock mobos allow to overclock locked CPUs so that you are paying the same for the mobo and paying less for the CPU (you would otherwise buy 6600K).

Why are you getting i5-6500 if i5-6600 is cheaper? Once again, don't get a CX PSU. I recommend the R9 390 over the 970 but of course if you want lower temps and driver stability, go for the 970.

Okay many thanks again, I will change the psu to the one you recommended to me. Do you need over 550w psu in my setup? Also is the motherboard I chosen is realiable and good? I didn't know that the 6600 I cheaper, I get that instead but on amazon there are complaints that people selling 6th gen i5 are delivering them with just the CPU itself which I do not want so I'm going to buy it somewhere else. Do you have any recommendations where I can buy the 6500 or 6600 in the UK except from amazon and ebay
