Is the GTX 950 worth in a couple months? I saving up to get a 950, but since AMD is releasing their new Polaris Architecture and Nvidia with their Pascal Architecture, i dont wanna buy the 950 and find out i could have gotten something better with my money.

Solution
Well the Pascal series is planned to arrive in March or April, so if you want to be safe, you could wait until it's out to compare prices and performances. Pascal is a game changer according to Nvidia, and if it's as good as announced, it's possible that the ''1050'' will send the 950 to Oblivion.

Nvidia released the 600 series 16 months after the arrival of 500. the 700 series came 14 months later. the 900 series, 16 months after the release of the 700. September 2016 would mean 24 months after the release of Maxwell, a 50% increase on the longest lifetime of the latest generations. We're already at 16 months and with AMD's R9 300 and Fury series gaining in popularity, Nvidia won't wait that long. Beginning of Q2 is most likely, so April or May, maybe not March.

I would wait and see how the new ones are. Even if they aren't that big of a difference it will still cause the 950 to drop greatly in price. You can buy a 760 for like 139$ right now which is half of what they were just a few months ago. The 950 was an extremely great card for the price and ran some pretty intense games at pretty solid settings considering its a sub 150$ card. It outperformed the 270x and 370 in fps for most games. It's going to be very interesting to see how much better Nvidia improves upon the new cards. Based on how much better they have gotten since the 7 and 900s I would bet they will run amazing.
