GPU Emergency Please Help

So I launch rocket league and I notice that my temps went to 70c. I exit and I check msi after burner. My gpu fans stop running. I've tried restarting computer and doesn't work. My gpu works, but fans don't. I've smelled my gpu and no funny or fried smell. Please help.
I have an Asus Strix R7 370.

Are you sure your card just doesn't have a 0RPM mode where the fans don't spin under low load? if under gaming load they start spinning, you're fine. I can't remember if Asus Strix works that way, but probably does have fanless mode.

Are you sure it's 70 Celsius and not Fahrenheit? If a gpu is performing well below its operating temps it shuts down the fans usually. So 70 f would be about 21 Celsius. If your gpu is really hitting 70 Celsius, and shutting off fans i'd look into an rma. Does your screen go black as well?

If the fans stop when the GPU is idle (no 3D game or application) and GPU temperatures remain low, the GPU is most likely shutting down the fans to save power when they are unnecessary. As long as they resume running when you start a game or do something else GPU-intensive, the GPU should be perfectly fine.

Yes their is a 0db mode, but set a fan curve using afterburner. And yes it slowly rose to 70 celsius. Its been working for a month already. My fan curve ratio is(fan spd%-temp) 20/30, 30/40, 40/50, and 50/60. I kept it like this so it would cool better playing witcher 3. But now I have just about no clue as to why my fans stopped.

And no my screen does not go black. Although there is something else. I was using hdmi to connect to my tv. But when I switch back to my monitor i had to change back to 1080p. Idk if this did anything but usually using the tv, I would get around 40celsius avrg. Never played rocket league on my monitor till just now, and my hdmi is unplugged.

I think the rpm might've been too high, my cousin says not to go over 1000. True or false? When playing games like witcher it was usually at around 1400- 1550 rpm. Rocket league at like 1000

Fans can go to 100% of their potential, your cousin is incorrect.

70C is not a bad temperature, and are your fans running or not when you are gaming?

Idk when exactly they stopped, but usually they're spinning while games are running and idle, but around 300-400 rpm on idle

When did they stop spinning? What were you doing? What are you trying to do to get them to spin?

As said, the fans turn themselves off when idle, when the temperatures are cool.

I set a fan curve ysing msi afterburner bc i wanted fans to cool more when playing heavy load games. Pretty sure it stopped when I changed resolution on rocket league from 720p to 1080p. And when you say gpu fans can run at 100%, how long can they run when its spinning that fast??

I was playing at like 12pm before. Fans were spinning and it was around 42c.

So the fans were spinning. You just said they weren't when you changed it to 1080p. Everything you say is contradictory! Please describe the problem in a more precise manner so we can fully understand.

I said at 12pm they were spinning... They stopped spinning an hour ago when i tried to play rocket league again.

Okay. Were you playing rocket league when they stopped? And what were your temperatures, if you were. If you play rocket league now, what are your temperatures, and are the fans spinning?

I was on the main menu when they stopped. I had not played a single match. On the main menu i saw the temps rising abnormally to 70c so I exit the game. Then i check afterburner and it said my fan speed was at 22%, but rpm was only 10. I then proceeded to check gpu fans trough the side panel and I saw the gpu fans weren't spinning.

I tried launching rocket league again and I can see the temps rising so i didnt want to risk it. Fans dont spin at all.

Well then, I guess you'll have to return the GPU. No other option I can see.
